Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2004 New York Shakuhachi Festival! By all accounts it was an overwhelming success and we thank all the talented and enthusiastic individuals who participated from around the world. Shakuhachi Auction - A few exceptional shakuhachi donated by highly cherished makers were sold at auction on Sunday, August 1, 2004. Two or three flutes remain for anyone interested in purchasing a high-end flute at a lower than usual price.
